A Bit About Me
Hi! I'm Sara Barnett, and for over two decades, I've been deeply immersed in the practice of law as a proud partner at Spragins, Barnett & Cobb. My legal journey began in 2001, and since then, I've had the unique privilege of working alongside my father, Charles Barnett, and my younger brother, Chas Barnett. As a family, we've tackled cases together, forming a tight-knit team that combines our diverse strengths and experiences.

My initial years were spent in the courtroom as a trial lawyer, but as I evolved both personally and professionally, my focus shifted towards estate planning and elder law. These areas have allowed me to connect with my clients on a more personal level, especially during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. I believe in the power of clear, compassionate, and knowledgeable communication, striving to demystify the legal process and provide a sense of comfort and understanding.

Jackson, Tennessee, is not just where I work; it's my home. Here, I indulge in my passion for tennis and commit to giving back to my community. As the President of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Jackson, I'm involved in fostering a bright future for our youth through guidance, love, and support in a safe learning environment. Additionally, my role as a Commissioner to the Tennessee Access to Justice Commission allows me to help develop policies and initiatives that offer meaningful access to justice for those most in need.
My engagement extends to the realm of tennis, not just locally but also nationally, with leadership roles in the United States Tennis Association at both the state and national levels. Recognitions like Volunteer of the Year and Local League Coordinator of the Year by USTA TN reflect my dedication to making tennis accessible to everyone.
